Homemade Ediquette
Hot Cocoa Recipe
With the weather cooling down and Winter quickly approaching, one of the best ways to stay warm is with a steaming mug of hot chocolate topped with rich whipped cream and sweet marshmallows. Imagine enriching that experience by mixing in Ediquette‘s line of smooth Valrhona chocolate infused with premium High Grade concentrate. I know, I know, you’re probably salivating. But before you drool down your shirt, read below to work up some cups of holiday cheer for you and your loved ones.
Ingredients:
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2-3 heaping tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 Premium Ediquette Milk Chocolate Bars
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 cups milk (Whole, 2%, or 1%)
- Mini marshmallows and/or whipped cream
Directions:
- In a 3 quart saucepan, bring water and cinnamon sticks to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer on low for about 5 mins.
- Add the cocoa powder and sugar, then increase heat to a medium boil.
- Reduce heat to a low simmer for 5 mins.
- Add evaporated milk and continue to simmer for another 5 mins.
- Increase heat slightly to maintain simmer.
- Turn off heat and add the Ediquette milk chocolate bars. Once melted, top off with milk (about 2 cups) & stir well.
- Remove cinnamon sticks and pour into your favorite mug & garish with mini marshmallows and/or whipped cream. Enjoy!
